If the players are doing their drills and the players aren't bored by them, I don't see what the coach can do. Isn't it more likely that fielding will be influenced by confidence?
As I've said before, in the T20 era, the best fielders are looking to go in the ring and make a reputation as a run saver. Catchers are hardly needed. All of England's new players, notably the batters, like to field in non catching positions.
