Obviously the old Egg-and-Bacon-Tie Brigade don't fancy sitting in the cold so they gave the first test to Yorkshire. The last test there was baltic too.

I said at the end of the last WC that to build for the next one we should disregard those that wont be there in four years time.

That means not picking Bell but also Broad, Anderson and probably Cook also. That would also ease their workload so that they can prolong their test career.

As soon as anyone starts talking about being more than 100% committed, or claims they will put in more than 100% effort, I know immediately that they are talking bollox, spouting platitudes, saying something without giving it proper consideration

I've never understood why people feel the need to offer more than everything they have to give. Why do they feel the need to pluck some imaginary number out of the air?

it just makes everything they then say utterly worthless

and what is the point of that?
