Batty, Ansari, Rashid and Mo... Pretty disappointing.

England Test squad: Alastair Cook (Essex) captain, Moeen Ali (Worcestershire), James Anderson (Lancashire), Zafar Ansari (Surrey), Jonny Bairstow (Yorkshire), Gary Ballance (Yorkshire), Gareth Batty (Surrey), Stuart Broad (Nottinghamshire), Jos Buttler (Lancashire), Ben Duckett (Northamptonshire), Steven Finn (Middlesex), Haseeb Hameed (Lancashire) Adil Rashid (Yorkshire), Joe Root (Yorkshire), Ben Stokes (Durham), Chris Woakes (Warwickshire), Mark Wood (Durham)

One-Day International squad: Jos Buttler (Lancashire) captain, Moeen Ali (Worcestershire), Jonny Bairstow (Yorkshire), Jake Ball (Nottinghamshire), Sam Billings (Kent), Liam Dawson (Hampshire), Ben Duckett (Northamptonshire), Liam Plunkett (Yorkshire), Adil Rashid (Yorkshire), Jason Roy (Surrey), Ben Stokes (Durham), James Vince (Hampshire), David Willey (Yorkshire), Chris Woakes (Warwickshire), Mark Wood (Durham)

Seventeen players, which is unusual, especially for a two Test series in BD... Though it's partly prep for India.

For me the interest lies with Duckett, and if he plays at three/four. And if Woakes can take his home form to Asia, if he plays.

Buttler's in. Six pace bowlers.

Press have been pretty rubbish with their predictions as usual.

Six pace bowlers in the ODI squad too. Pace heavy attacks haven't served England well in ODIs in Asia in the past. Duckett and Billings come in for Morgan and Hales, which seems sensible. Spin options seem fair enough for limited overs. Though Stephen Parry might have been abandoned with a little too much enthusiasm after not getting much of a chance.

Ansari has been out of the Surrey side through injury rather often this year and although he's returned to the team for the last two games it's a bit of a risk to include him. An average of 27 with the bat and 22 wickets suggests they've chosen him on previous form and his promise. Glad to see they've gone for Batty though.

Who would he replace? Jake Ball perhaps as he's probably getting chosen as a consolation prize for missing out this year.

I reckon the ECB will leak the names of any players who didn't want to tour.
