Two contenders are Phil Hughes and Ajinkya Rahane as they have lots of years ahead of them but can they maintain their good FC record. I don't think they will make it because if Sachin can't then no one will.

Hughes is 22 and has 17 centuries.
Rahane is 23 and has 18 centuries.

Are we talking first-class or international?

First class cricket!

Yes, I am not sure who, but it will be someone who does not quite make the step up to the international level but who is prolific domestically - obviously in a similar mould to Ramprakash (who has done this) in regards to longevity of career... Someone like Hughes is a good call, as we may see him in English cricket as well as Aussie cricket. If he does not quite make it, imo, he will be able to do it...

This article make it all sound a bit suspicious:

There must be some link between the police visit and his death. The full story will probably be released later today or within the next few days.

It might be coincidental. I hope so...

Hopefully it is but it does seem very strange that police spoke to him earlier. Police usually don't speak to people unless there is a problem and it also happened on the same day. Very suspicious.

I suppose so! I personally think that power is always misused. And BCCI does not seem to be an exception either. I still remember how people talked about England's and Australia's unfair hold on ICC and how it affected the rest of the countries unfavorably!

It is some sort of Greek tragedy to see our own BCCI on the same side of the fence :D I hope sanity prevails.. If not, I won't mind BCCI getting sidelined in ICC if they cannot be responsible with the vast power they have right now!

I don't think that wil happen, but I would like to see (in an ideal world) a complete overhaul of the ICC...

Dravid is the replacement for Warnie as RR captain in IPL.... Warnie was very well liked by his team mates. Dravid's got some real big shoes to fill:
