Not really. Australia are clearly the best team at the moment.

I'm giving this series a miss. It will be the first Test at TB I've missed for over twenty years.

After the singing of Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and Glory and the military displays at the Ashes last year, I felt that it wasn't an experience I wanted to repeat. And then I forgot and bought tickets for India this summer! Anyway, the aloof behaviour of the ECB since the Ashes last winter has made me regret buying them. So, just consumer choice.

Nah. I've still got Sky. I'm trying not to force my reaction to all this stuff, as in recent years, I've found my interests have narrowed quite a bit, and I don't want to just throw another activity away. So however much the ECB alienates me from the game, I'll only give it up if I genuinely lose interest.

I haven't been to The Oval yet, which disturbs the completionist in me.

My Dad use to take me to the Oval in the mid-eighties. Think it rained every time.

You used to be able to just turn up to the ground in those days. But I think attendances have peaked here now, and games don't sell out so easily. Partly because of the price. And partly because the side now isn't as exciting as the side of 2000-05.
