Interesting comments from Scyld Berry in last Sunday's "Telegraph"...

"In future, all the decisions about corruption will be made by the chairman of the International Cricket Council's new executive board - who is due to be Narayan Srinivasan, the Indian board president. And Srinivasan is suspended by India's Supreme Court while allegations against him of spot-fixing are investigated."

"The paper said Vincent had told anti-corruption police of attempted fixing in the Twenty20 Cup in England during his time with Lancashire and Sussex, and a 40-over match between Sussex and Kent in 2011 is reported to have been subjected to special scrutiny by the ICC. The Telegraph reported that Vincent had admitted trying to convince one Lancashire team-mate to participate in a fix, but the player reported the approach to authorities. It was also reported that Vincent had provided details of an approach by another player to a current international captain, who turned down the offer and also reported it to anti-corruption officials. The paper also reported that the ICC's anti-corruption unit was close to charging a former Pakistan player based on Vincent's evidence. The investigation is likely to take another 12 to 18 months to complete. Vincent has reportedly agreed to a plea bargain in an effort to avoid a criminal prosecution."

Having just read a similar article on the Daily Mail, it talks about what seems to be a teammate of his ICL team being in charge of him. And this person was a former international.

His ICL squad: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chandigarh_Lions

He also played for the World XI: http://www.espncricinfo.com/icl/content ... 45478.html

A few players in both teams there. Not that I'd like to speculate who. I'm sure it will all come out in good time.

Also mentions that the tried and failed to get an ex-England player to underperform in what appears to be this game: http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/c ... 20130.html EDIT - Mal Loye has revealed he was approached.

And also a Sussex batsman from this game: http://www.espncricinfo.com/cb40-11/eng ... 92346.html

The game between Sussex and Kent 2011 Vincent got run out after only a few deliveries for 1. I can't remember exactly how, but it does seem an easy way to achieve a fix.

If he's guilty I hope they chuck the book at him.

Apparently, a Sussex player who no longer plays county cricket was involved in some fixing with Vincent in a T20 between Sussex and Lancs in 2011.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/cricke ... eader.html

Had a look at the scorecard (http://www.espncricinfo.com/county-cric ... 92507.html) which narrows it down to 2 players. 99% sure i know which one it is.
