Roelf van der Merwe, that is a blast from the past!

James Faulkner has been arrested for drink driving in England, and faces a ban from Cricket Australia.

Ashes quiz. Only 13/20, but that's better than 86% of others, apparently.

Started off like a house on fire - the ones with the real cricketing questions I got mostly right - and went rapidly downhill towards the end. 11 only - better than 83% it reckons.

I used to play Football for Haseley. Never has there been such a sportsman in that place. Don't think he would have got in our team though!!!

Could you imagine picking him up and taking him back to London. Or him getting on the bus there and sitting next to you.

I would have gladly taken him to London. When I was about 15, me and a couple of mates used to train with an American Football team in Haseley, a few years before I started playing 'soccer' there, and got stuck ourselves, as none of us had arranged a lift home. No mobiles those days, so we had to knock on a door and use a land line of a villager, and ask one of our parents to pick us up.
