Current world test XI

Been a while since done one of these...so in your opinon who is the current world test XI?

Here's mine

1.Rohit Sharma
2.Dimuth Karauratne
3.Babar Azam
4.Joe Root
5.Travis Head
6.Ben Stokes (c)
7.Tom Blundell (wk)
8.Pat Cummins
9.Jasprit Bumrah
10.Nathan Lyon
11.Josh Hazelwood

Kane Williamson has to be in there. Not sure Stokes gets in tbh. His days are imo numbered. Will get a few runs now and again but he's not in any world test XI

Yeah I did think Kane, probably should be instead of Head, but the guys batting 3 and 4 in my side aren't changing, so I tried to put a guy in who will bat middle order...and Stokes selection was partly captaincy and partly at 6 and 7 you want game changers and when he gets going there aren;t many better around than him at doing that

Interesting thread. I've not considered this for a while. Used to be a standby during insomnia. And with less Test cricket played, the idea of an elite feels more fluid. Though there's nothing fluid about the Aussie bowling attack.

Don't think I'm having Root and Stokes. But I'll post a team later when my headache has gone.

No Jadeja because shouldn't need a 'frontline' 5th bowler in a world XI....Lyon by far and away the standout test spinner

do you not need three test XI's, depending on whether they are playing in England, Australia or India?

Makes a huge difference, I think
