In a month where the major ODI teams have been taking a sabbatical in preparation for next month's Champions Trophy, it has given a chance to some of our cousins in the Domestic, Associate and Women's game to come to the fore.
There have been a myriad of contenders but two outstanding contributions stand out for me.
Mohammed Irfan (Uganda)
The Ugandan team tend to play small clusters of games once or twice a year, meaning that their players need to hit the ground running and Irfan did just that. He scored 172 with the bat including a high score of 108* against Malaysia. He also excelled with the ball bagging nine wickets in the Division 3 tournament, his best figures being 5-38 against Singapore.
Deepti Sharma (India Women)
Sharma has shown her worth with both bat and ball in May. She is more established as a bowler and took 8 wickets in her five matches, including 4-17 against Zimbabwe Women. She also made a huge contribution with the bat when she bagged 188 runs against Ireland Women.
