With Australia having a tour to India coming up soon, who is going to fill their problematic no 6 spot? Hilton Cartwright was always a batsman who could bowl a little bit, he can clearly bat, but his bowling isn't good enough. So does he go as a frontline batsman? Do OZ go with just 4 frontline bowlers, and then guys who could fill in with some overs? Who goes at 6.... Could it be Cartwright? Back to Mitch Marsh? Or Moises Henriques? Does Stoinis get a call up? Or do they push a keeper up to 6, and play 5 bowlers..? Who for you take the number 6 spot?

Got to give the new fella a chance?
Though Maddinson and Ferguson didn't get one. Too soon to go back to Marsh.

Agar was competing with Cartwright for the all-rounder spot in the current Test so it's not that unlikely.
I think Faulkner is completely out of the picture for Tests at the moment.

Faulkner has made a 100 for Tasmania this season batting at 6. Though that was a few months ago. Since then i think he has only played in the shorter formats.

Would not rule out Travis Head as well.
Has made 100 this year in first class cricket.
Not sure his bowling is quite good enough, but better than the last 3 blokes tried by Australia.
A few runs in this one day series might help his cause.

I'm probably the only one who still thinks MMarsh has a future at Test level.

Do you really see Faulkner being effective with the ball at 75 mph in India? He is not the greatest player of spin either.

I think he will get back into the team, but he will need to work on his batting.

I think the all rounder spot requires a drinker.
