April T20 Player of the Month

Dwayne Bravo (West Indies and Gujarat)
Began the month with his side's victory for the West Indies before going on to lead Gujarat's unlikely assault on the IPL. In his eight games Bravo has bagged 11 wickets at an average of 26.4; his best figures were 4/22 in Gujarat's opening game with Punjab. He has also contributed with the bat - scoring 77 runs in the month.
Faf Du Plessis (Pune)
Off the back of a disappointing World Cup for Faf he was the driving force for Pune in the opening stages of the IPL. Before his injury he played 6 games for the franchise scoring 206 runs - averaging 34.3 runs per game. His highlight would be scoring two back to back scores in the 60s against Punjab and Gujarat.
Bhuvenshwar Kumar (Hyderabad)
The Indian medium pacer has snared 10 wickets in the 7 games he has played so far in the IPL at an economy of 22. His best figures were 4/29 against Gujarat. He also would have been pleased with his 21 from 8 balls against Pune with the bat.
Hayley Matthews (West Indies Women)
Only one game played this month but what a game it was. The teenager was the driving force behind West Indies Women's destruction of Australia Women with her 66 runs with the bat. She also bowled two overs claiming a wicket for the loss of only 13 runs.
Mitchell McClenaghan (Mumbai)
An unlikely success in this year's IPL. h=He is battling another gentleman on this list to be top wicket taker in the competition at this stage of the tournament. In his 8 games he has got 12 wickets at an average of 18.4. His best figures were 4/21 against Gujarat.
Amit Mishra (Delhi)
The other principal wicket taker of the IPL, the veteran Indian bowler has been having a whale of a time with the ball. In his 6 games he has claimed 8 scalps at an average of 16.9. His best figures were 4/11 against Punjab.
Chris Morris (Delhi)
The million dollar man had a lot to live up to in this tournament and some dynamic performances have shown what he is capable of. His huge display of 82 from 32 balls against Gujarat will live long in the memory. He averages 27.3 with the bat and 30 with the ball.
Thisara Perera (Pune)
The Sri Lankan fast bowler has had a good yield from his 5 games for Pune. He has got 8 wickets at an economy of 20.6. His best figures were 3/34 against the strong batting line up of Bangalore.
Mustafizur Rahman (Hyderabad)
The young Bangladesh spinner has made a bit of a name for himself in all forms of the game and his dangerous, tight bowling for Hyderabad has really helped that image. His figures of 2/9 against Punjab stand out as something especially notable. Overall he has got 8 wickets from 7 games at an economy of 21.3
Ajinkya Rahane (Pune)
After a stop-start World Cup, Rahane is back to being a regular fixture in the Pune side and is relishing the opportunity. The Indian batsmen has scored 276 runs over his 7 games, averaging 39.4. He has scored over 50 in 4 of his 7 games.
Rohit Sharma (Mumbai)
Birthday boy Rohit Sharma has bounced back from an indifferent World Cup to be the beating heart of Mumbai's IPL season. He is averaging 37.3 across 8 games in the tournament and has scored over 60 4 times. His best score was his 84* against Kolkata.
