No but there is a history of unethical business at the ECB. Ian MacLaurin was from Tesco (tax evasion, insensitive rural planning, workfare), they were sponsored by Vodophone (tax evasion), and rather remarkably, after world financial crisis of 2008, took on sponsorship from an investment bank (Clarke and Downton's background). I'm not sure a go at the bottom at the ladder would do any of these any harm.
New chairman is from Costcutter. Don't know anything about them.
