Statistics point emphatically to Misbah-ul-Haq ....but are statistics always right?

Who is your best ever Pakistan captain?

I know that Pakistan fans always regard Imran Khan as their greatest captain.

Leaving off Imran is like asking English Football fans who our greatest captain was, and leaving Bobby Moore off the list.

Voted for Misbah, but might have gone for Imran if available. Different characters, but both just what Pakistan needed at different stages of development. Imran had a better team, which helps. Misbah inherited a rabble and did a hell of a job making them credible.

Imran Khan. I saw him win the World Cup. He was such a great player and captain, I'd have played for him, and I'm Australian.

A captain has no control over the quality of players in his team - nor the opposition. Times/timing does that.
