Percentage of teams's wickets

Robinson 23.24
Anderson 22.87
Potts 22.22
Broad 21.25
Leach 20.65
Archer 19.19
Wood 19.11
Overton 18.58
Woakes 17.64
Stokes 12.52

Hoggard 22.10
Harmison 22.05
Flintoff 18.08
Jones 17.82
Giles 15.96

I was surprised that Leach was was so high and I expected Archer to be near at the top. It depends on the captain. Since he hasn't been hardly bowling he just puts Leach at one end and rotates the others once the game is advances.

Good stats Slipstream. A bit surprising to see them so close. And Jones being at the lower end.

also shows how much the bowling has to be rotated these days. More concentrated tests, perhaps?

I just chose the 2005 side because they stayed in the team the longest.

For instance
Cummins 25.62
Lyons 23.30
Starc 22.30
Hazelwood 21.83

Looking in New Zealand 1st Test Anderson got 8,9,10 and 11 and 2nd Test Broad got 7, 8,9,10 and both ended with 10 wickets each but Robinson got 6 wickets at 33.83 missing out on a tail. :? (Anderson 10 at 16.80, Broad 10 at 26.10, and Leach at 10 at 34.60) Not that anyone bowled better just when the captain thinks of who to bowl.

Steyn used to say whenever the tail came on Smith would bring him on and he thinks that was why he was at the top of the rankings for so long (+ 5years). He stopped getting as many 5fers when Smith wasn't captain.

I suppose Stokes will bring Archer on for that job.

Was looking at how many times Anderson and Broad had got out Cook in county cricket - Anderson 6 and Broad 3. Made me wonder how our other bowlers did against the present team. They don't play that much for their county. The last four play in the 2nd Division so would have more if they played 1st Div.

Broad - Brook, Anderson (2), Stokes, Woakes, Archer, Foakes
Anderson - Root (3) Broad, Stokes, Duckett, Crawley
Woakes - Brook, Stokes, Anderson, Bairstow
Wood - Bairstow, Foakes, Crawley
Stokes - Bairstow, Broad
Robinson - Crawley, Duckett
Archer - Duckett, Crawley

So far seeing how much the England bowlers have bowled in the cc

85.0-14-314-3 .. 39.25 - Potts (2)
81.0-19-225-11 . 20.45 - Anderson (2)
57.0-11-202-9 .. 22.44 - Broad (2)
53.0-10-149-2 .. 74.50 - Overton (2)
37.0-3-119-1 ... 119.00 - Mahmood (1)
32.0-6-87-5 ... 17.40 - Woakes (1)
30-4-107-3 ... 35.66 - Stone (1)
23-4-81-1 ... 81.00 - Robinson (1)

73.1-10-320-7 .. 45.71 - Leach (3)
37.0-1-194-6 .. 32.33 - Ahmed (2)

Looks like it will be 4 games before the Ireland Test. Leach, probably 3 more.

In the IPL Curran (24.5), Wood (16),Archer (8), Stokes (1)

Who will be in the starting XI?

Potts has 8 wickets, of course

Starting line up will be Anderson, Broad, Robinson and Leach, I reckon. I can't see them risking Archer or Wood on Ireland

Not the Anderson or Broad plan then.

who knows

but didn't Stokes say that the best bowlers in the best form would always be picked.... or words to that effect. A & B have more CC wickets this season than any of the others in contention. If that stays the same, then they'll both play, I'd imagine.
