Shubman, I think
there are some left field BBL runners and riders like Matt Short and Tom Rogers, but some of their good work will have been done in December.
Shubman appears to be a run machine atm

Shubhman should be the Player of Month imo. No batsman has scored more runs than him in Jan i guess. Add to it, he has scored all those runs at international level matches rather than domestic matches or franchisee cricket. Also, a double hundred against an international bowling attack.

Two bowlers stand out for me this month....buy I am going for the newbie rather than the veteran.
Sure it was 'only' Zimbabwe but West Indies' Gudakesh Motie has proved that his good performances for Guyana weren't just a flash in the pan. The 27 year old got 19 wickets in the two match series including figures of 32.2-5-99-13 - the best ever figures for a West Indian spinner. Sure, there will be sterner Tests but a rare glimmer of hope for the West Indies team in red ball cricket.

Was a toss up between Temba Bavuma and Shakib Al Hasan for me this month and I think the South African shades it for me as he was the POTM in 100% of the matches he played this month.
Firstly he got 28 and 172 in the Test against the West Indies followed by 144 in his sole foray against them in the white ball. He finished the month strongly with 90* against Netherlands today.

4-0-5-3, her bowling stats in a tight final
that's a pretty formidible tournament record

The main show in town this month is the IPL and the runaway success in that competition is Mr Faf Du Plessis who is my shout for Cricketer of the Month.
