Update is that we have a innings match this Sunday. The match will be played for 9 hours. First session 9-11, Lunch (11-11:30) followed by 2nd session (tea break) and finally the 3rd session. It has been decided that on average 15 overs should be bowled every hour. So 90 overs per day. Atlhough almost same number of overs will be bowled in this new format, the difference essentially which the management is targeting is that the teams will get practice to bat more than 50 overs in this unlimited format.

If the team batting first does not gets all out then they can bat for 90 overs. If team batting first bats for 60 overs then the 2nd team will get the remaining overs to bat.The teams for the forthcoming Sunday innings match has probably been decided. However, i have let them know that if the teams for the coming Sundays match are not yet confirmed then i am available to be chosen.

Where do you field, adi?

The fielding position depends on the captains. The last captain positioned me at square leg, BSL and DBSL during the last 40 overs match. Sometimes same or other captain would make field at other positions. I am happy to field anywhere except as keeper.

Fielded in 40 overs match recently and i can sustain that many overs. Can take 20 more overs considering the tea break will fall. Max 70 i am prepared as of now. 90 i am unsure about. Yet to test my fitness against that.

This sounds similar to the Sunday League I play, albeit a maximum of 80 overs are played and the game just lasts the Saturday. It's uncommon for team to be bowled out for 25-30 overs and the opposition get the additional bonus because the pitches are akin to that of Aigburth or Chester-Le-Street, i.e. bowlers paradise.

I'll get one up and running for next year. I didn't intend in playing any cricket this year due to circumstances beyond my own control and having lost the ability to bowl, but ended up getting roped in for three different teams in the 2nd half of this year with some surprising results.

Despite the club cricket season ending two weeks ago I've got one more match to play a week on Saturday, a centenary cricket match weather permitting.

Our kanga League match which was to be played on Sunday (today) has been cancelled due to rains. However, the club management thinks it is safe enough to play a inning match in such bad outfield. Weird
