Weather looks perfect for our 2nd friendly on Saturday hoping to have a couple of players back but frustratingly still won't be at full strength

Our last friendly took place yesterday and we destroyed the opposition...the opposition won the toss and choose to bat and we skittled them for 98, I wasn't needed to bowl thankfully and we chased it down inside 13 overs, 3 wickets down I didn't bat either others had a bat.... unexpected win given we weren't at full strength....

The season starts next week and il have more in-depth line ups and game details for those

First game of the season saw us playing at home and what a game it was, we went down by a painfully small margin of 3 runs!!!

We lost the toss and were asked to bowl this is how we lined up

The two Rawlings brothers opened the bowling arguably the two quickest bowlers in the division and made a good start initially reducing the opposition to 31-2, H with the two wickets, F bowled a superb spell and although finished wicket less ended up only conceding 28 from his 10 overs including 2 maidens....a partnership then built until Harwood came on and picked up 3 crucial wickets in the middle overs finishing with 3-34 from his 10 overs....I myself bowled 9 overs wickeltess going for 49 runs, the overseas bowled 5 overs for 31 runs.....in the end they got to 236-5 off their 50 overs...

In reply we got off to a good start reaching 55 before losing the first wicket with Stevenson hitting a quick fire 42 from 24 balls we then suffered a middle order collapse falling to 87-5 before myself and h Rawlings put a pert ship together I myself made 38 from 37 balls including 5 fours and a six, kilbridge chipped in with 27 and poskitt made 31 but a flurry of late wickets meant we didn't get across the line and eventually fell 3 runs short a game we really should have won but it's a long season and we go again on Saturday

As predicted training has been cancelled due to weather

I'm ruled out of Saturday's game I pulled a calf when helping with getting the covers on our square ridiculous way to do it....gotta sit this week out and go from there
