I rather think that the 1 to 3 testers were most likely drafted in for ashes down under series... which means they were going badly and whilst we were all stoically ignoring those series by then, the aussie media would have had all this stuff front and centre, force feeding it down the throats of anyone unfortunate enough to be unable to avoid it, so perhaps a bit easier for ex pats to remember

Cummins expects to play all 6 Tests which I expect. Meanwhile Stokes expects to be rotating between 8 fast bowlers.
Anderson and Broad have played 9 series in which they played in all 5 Tests.

Most overs bowled in an Ashes Series

260.1 - Lyon
222.3 - Anderson
211.0 - Cummins
195.0 - Broad
190.5 - Hazelwood
169.2 - Ali
167.0 - Woakes
162.3 - Starc
121.1 - Wood
116.5 - Stokes
106.2 - Robinson
81.1 - Boland
80.4 - Green

Will Ali have a sore finger after the first day since he is just used to 4 overs?

How did Woakes lose so many points for a match analysis of 6-141? :hmmm

Especially when Broad gains points for 5-103?

Not a great deal between those performances, I would argue. Certainly not 50 ranking points.

He has not been playing Tests since the WI so he loses points every Test he misses. That is 15 Tests. Anderson missed Headingley and lost 8 points

4 Robinson
18 Ali, Woakes Aug 2020
