Sri Lanka win the toss and choose to bat
England had named their side yesterday but Will Jacks is out with illness so Rehan finally gets a game and plays you would think batting 7, two leg spinners for england and they line up like
Crawley
Duckett
Root
Bethell
Brook
Buttler
Curran
Rehan
Overton
Dawson
Rashid
Batting all the way down the order strong side, Bethell and Root to provide extra overs if neeed, very spin heavy
SL line up as
Nissanka
Mishara
Kusal (wk)
Dhananjaya
Asalanka
Liyanage
Ratbnayke
Wellagae
Madushan
Vandersay
Asitha
No rain forecast should be a good game looking forward to it!

Steve Harmison and David Gower providing the english insight with the sri lankan commentary team, like those two, should be a good listen, really looking forward to this....223 average first innings score england with 5 spin options, time for the anthems

Not keen on Overton bowling with the new ball....with 5 spin options would have rathered Dawson take the new ball and Overton bowl first/second change through the middle overs where he is a better option

Intersting looking, spin heavy side. Pleased to see Rehan getting a chance.

Would love to see Rashid into the attack early too...Not gonna have him and Rehan bowling in tandem one needs to come on earlier and would love to see Adil take the lead and bowl in the powerplay

Very happy to see Rehan in there, only shame is Jacks would have been a spinner turning the ball other way to Rehan Rash and Dawson, but hopefully Rehan takes his chance....Not sure how unwell Jacks is and whether he will be avaliable for remaining games or not

I think Rashid is going to bowl at the end quite a bit. Presumably he will protect Rehan a little. Could bowl as few early on though.

Have to say I do like Crawley being in the side I actually think of all 3 formats this is probably his one he would be best suited too...he does give himself a chance and then can go big and with the white ball going soft quickly no reason why he can't score big runs in odi cricket

Not obvious that Bethell should be bowling.
From the scoring rate, I'm guessing batting isn't easy.
