Pakistan is in Australia, I think for a 3 ODI series only...

As an appetiser (I assume) for the upcoming India test series, Aus are facing Pakistan in a one day series. Today is at the MCG, strange it starts on a Monday - but it suits me because just the north of Tasmania gets a public holiday today.
As per usual, we are unaware which Pakistan will turn up each day. At the moment, it seems to be NOT the Triple A Pakistan - 7/148 off 37 overs.

a very entertaining knock - and with a couple of early Aus wickets, it has given Pakistan a much better chance.

Pakistan are making a decent fist of this defence of a low target - only 3 wickets to take, Aus still need 49 runs.
Only halfway through the overs, so there's no pressure there, but the wicket count is providing plenty.

This is an outstanding game the Pakistan seamers have reduced aus to 165-7 needing 39 more to win...rauf has been very impressive!

Jake Fraser-McGurk is a horrible name to say. Feels like a mouth full of nuts and bolts.

Yes, it is terrible.
I thought of a hiccupping rooster a year or two back when I first heard of him.

I really don't get these sorts of pointless tours.
England played Pakistan in tests, then went out to the Windies to play ODIs. Meanwhile Pakistan play Australia who only come over for 3 ODIs?

Australia are looking like they are batting as well as the other night - poorly.
They just lost their 4th wicket with 87 runs on the board, 16th over. Afridi and Haris Rauf taking 2 wickets each.

129-7. That's not the Adelaide Oval I remember.

I've just started watching it - as Aus are 8/130.
I have seen two examples of hard-running fielding in the deep by two Pakistan pace bowlers that saved at least 3 runs. The first by Afridi was very good, but the one by Hasnain was exceptional.
It is bound to be replayed on as many places you care to look for, as I think there will be plenty of argument about what happened and what was decided. My view is that the right decision was made by the 3rd Umpire.
Besides seeing Rauf having a great return to what he called his home (the MCG), Pakistan are looking like the Triple A team are at the G today.
Now 9/147...

Rare chance for Hazlewood to have a nice long bat...

He ran out of partners just 48 runs short of his maiden ODI 50

He averages nearly 18 in ODIs. I'm amazed. I think of him as a rabbit.
