just as well, given the underwhelming nature of the England batting card

That was terrible, but it's hard to be too critical given the scheduling and injuries means England were fielding a very green XI. 4 debutants, and only one player (Rashid) with more than 35 ODIs to his name.
What's worrying though is how little list A cricket most of the England players have. But then, we can't be doing silly thing like letting our up and coming talents practise international formats - not when there's the hundred to play.

This really looks like an England A tour. Though credit to WI for a big win.

Really don't understand why overton is playing...batting 8 and not bowling what's the point...

Death bowler? Given there wasn't an end of innings.

No listening to commentary yesterday there was talk of him still not being fit enough to bowl...if that's the case don't need a 'batter' at 8...better off picking an actual bowler top 7 should be enough batting

Don't seem to have many batting options...

That top 7 is good enough to score runs just needs time...picking Jamie overton at 8 for batting is a ridiculous selection

are England forgetting to play the 'catches win matches' game, again?
