This is going decently well for India. Just 41 behind to start counting lead. Credit to Indian batsmen.
England could not take any advantage of winning the toss and opting to bat. 246 is not what you score to press on tge advantage of batting first here and letting opponent feel that we dont have to worry to much now about day 4 and day 5. Yes, Ashwin is one of the best test spinners to have played the game and Sir is very good spinner in India althought not at Ashwin level. Axar isn't easy to get away with too. Clearly India have a better and skilled spin attack with ability to vary length, bowl wrong ones and other varities required by spinners. Havent seen that by England spinners in comparison. I would say Shubman played spin badly amd when he was there he made the spin bowlers look more problematic than they actually were.
Anyways good for India that England failed to make any use of winning toss and having made right decission to biwl first.
India should look to have atleast 120 runs lead. That is because Joe is one batsman who can see off Ash, Sir and Axar and may help England post 300 - better than what they did in 1st innings. Althought Indian batsmen are not playing as goid a spin attack as England batsmen are facing, day 4 and day 5 can spring a massive surprise if wicket changes.
So far is really good. First test toss lost still India look like favorites to win. Cant ask more.Hope Rohit Sharma wins the toss next match.
