240 was a lot of runs when Nas was playing.

171 partnership after three wickets in the first six overs. Worthy of winning a WC.

Now that that's over, I might shut the curtains and put the fire on. At 5pm there's nothing else left to do

We don't tend to think of this Australia side as a great one compared to the Waugh (or Bradman) eras, but like the best Australia teams, they know how to perform when it really matters. The Ashes, World Test Championship, now the World Cup. And that's just the men, the women are unstoppable too.

To paraphrase Gary Lineker, cricket's a simple game. 22 players hit a ball around for days on end, and then the Australians win.

Meanwhile India are making a habit of losing crunch tournament games that they are favourites to win.

Champions trophy 2017 final v Pakistan, 2019 WC semi v New Zealand, 2015 WC semi v Australia (ok, maybe not favourites there), 2022 T20 semi v England (completely fell apart after being the form team in the group stage - sound familiar?), two World Test Championship finals (at least one where they were definitely favourites against NZ), now this.

If South Africa hadn't stuffed up their own semi, might we be labelling India the new chokers?
