There was plenty of seam on offer from the parts I watched. Agreed that this was not a 400+ pitch and India are definitely regretting bowling first. Outside of the afternoon and evening sessions yesterday the test match has registered 430 runs for 15 wickets. Consensus was India were pretty wayward on day 1.

Got to wonder how much Kohli has left in him in the longest form. Sure, he scored 186 in his last test on a totally lifeless subcontinental pitch, but outside that he's averaged about 27 with a couple of 50s and no other hundreds since the start of 2020.

Bit of fight being shown this morning. India will now pass the follow on. Will probably just try to bat out time now.

New ball still some way off too. So a good opportunity for India after lunch.

Rahane goes though. That moves the game on a bit.

173 the lead.... so 150 runs should close this test out

Warner out straight away. If India rattle off a few Aussies in double quick time, there is an outside chance of a game here...

Given all the low scores in the game, must be a chance for Australia to get rolled.

But, scoreboard pressure is in their favour.

Khawaja runs out of luck 24/2... batting looking tough, Australia could probably declare now

Smith and Head get out practicing thumping Mo out of the game

Labu digging in... he needs the batting practice more than most

lead is 289 with 6 wickets in hand and 2 full days still in the game. India need a miracle from somewhere

Aussies scoring slowly by modern standards. Three an over.

Australia already have more than enough, I would think.
