West Indies are in very serious danger of missing out. Going to need to win all three of their super six games and hope for the best. Lose to Sri Lanka and it'll be all be over.

Disastrous run for Ireland too. They'll be gutted.

Reckon they are all but dead in the in fact. Hard to see enough results going their way to get through - even if they can actually get the wins they need. The most they can get is six points and with two other teams already on four...plus their NRR is awful.

Extraordinary effort by the Dutch , by the way. 30 off the last two overs to force the super over - and then an amazing 30 off Holder of all people to ice the game. West Indies will wonder just what hit them.

For the West Indies to reach the final, they would need one of Zimbabwe or Sri Lanka to lose two of their three games in the Super Six. I can't see that happening.

Ireland miss out too, and win their consolation match.

Ireland 349-4

Stirling 162
Balbirnie 66
Tector 57

Sanchit 3-46

UAE 211 all out

Waseem 45
Sanchit 44

Campher 2-14
Little 2-30
McBrine 2-34
Dockrell 2-32

Ireland won by 138 runs.

Zimbabwe and SL are playing each other, so one of them has to lose. And Sri Lanka are also playing West Indies, so there is a chance for West Indies to take 2 points off them too.

It does look like a very difficult path for West Indies, however. It might well be all over long before West Indies and Sri Lanka line up against each other.

Still, if you lose to Netherlands and Zimbabwe and someone else, you've only got yourself to blame.
