One of the main concerns for England will be Leach, who got carted around yesterday. I tend to find when Leach has helpful conditions, he bowls very negatively in the hope that the pitch does him some favours, and when the pitch is flat and does little for him, there is a risk he can get taken apart a little. Like to see him be more aggressive, but he's had a lot of cricket recently, and his average goes backwards. Another few bad tests, and England really need to find another spinning option, because I am not very convinced Leach is the answer.

Leach has been ruled out of the ashes series with a stress fracture

BBC mentions Ahmed and Jacks, and Moeen as a long shot.

Rules out Parkinson, and Dawson. Doesn't even list Bess.

Presume it will be Ahmed.

I did wonder about Jacks or Livingstone..... not because I think they should, more that it's the sort of thing they seem to do these days

Poor old Rehan.... does well on a bunsen in Pakistan, asked to perform well on a series of roads in England
