Brook out without facing a ball! I think that's a platinum duck.

How do you get run out in this sort of situation?

Where Bazball and common sense collide. Everything now on Root and captain Stokes. Not over yet, but it doesn't look good.

Bracewell going for nine an over is a big risk for NZ. He's shrinking the game.

200 runs in the game for no dismissal for Root.

Stokes hanging in there despite injury. Aggression is all well and good but he's smart enough to know sometimes you just have to dig in :salute

Going to be an edge-of-seat afternoon.

No new ball down the line for England to face off.

Maybe NZ going to regret not picking a bowler-first spinner.

Stokes goes with 57 still needed.

Squeaky bum time.

Shades of Edgbaston 2005. 8 down with 43 still to go after Root follows Stokes in quick succession, then Foakes and Leach put on 33, with Leach 0 not out from 19 deliveries.

10 left, 2 wickets.

This is agonising.

Foakes goes with 7 still needed :no

Got to give credit to both sides. After the first innings, to produce a last day this close took some effort.

If England throw it away, it's going to be one of the great reversals. No doubt recriminations will fly about the follow-on, but it seemed a perfectly reasonable decision at the time. It's easy to be wise in hindsight.

About time England got on the wrong end of one of these.

They are not fun.

A fantastic test, with an amazing conclusion. A great day for me to be office-bound, with no-one else in the office for most of the day, headphones on and the game streaming on the computer.

No, I agree that there should be no recriminations for the declaration. 2 more runs and it was a great decision.
