Well, England are sticking with their approach despite several quick wickets. They're moving the game forward quickly, whatever else happens, but history says less than 400 in the first innings in New Zealand, especially at this venue, is unlikely to be enough.

This is the second earliest 1st innings declaration, in terms of overs bowled, in the history of the game. For some reason in 1974 Pakistan declared on 130/9 after 44 overs. Looks as if rain interruptions had something to do with it.

Imagine paying 18,000 pounds a month, or whatever it is these days, for a sky sports subscription only to find the test match is on BT

its a complete racket and precisely why I don't bother with any of it. There is nothing to prevent future test series being shown on virgin or amazon. It's a complete nonsense and far better not to get sucked in
