India won the T20 series 2-1, and now play an ODI series.

Australia won a close first T20.

Must be first WCT20 for a long while without Gayle.

Should improve the fielding.

Aus giving England a nice welcome to Australia, by selecting none of their first choice bowling line up. Quick turnaround to getting back to the East Coast is cited as the reason.

England have received this welcome with grace, and made a litle hay.

0/82 from 7.2 overs.

Why is Stokes coming in at 3 when he has the worst T20 strike in the side out of all the batters? Brook has a SR of plus 150, and came in the 16th over...

Crap tactics

Wickets for Wood again

England might put him back in his box for a bit. They won't want to risk him

I assume because it's a friendly/warm-up game, so since Stokes wasn't with the squad in Pakistan the intention was to give him some time in the middle. He hasn't played a T20 for a while.

I see Australia have started the way they mean to go on, with Wade obstructing the field, but England declining to appeal for it 'because they have to spend a long time in Australia'
I haven't worked out whether he was trying to prevent Woody from making a catch or whether he was trying to stop Woody from running him out, because the footage didn't show the actual delivery. ...... had something to do with a helmet

And then Stoinis said that when you get hit on the helmet you sometimes don't know exactly whats going on for a moment or two. Looks like he knew exactly what he was doing to me

All a storm in a teacup. Wade imo is clearly trying to stop Wood, but the laws of the game would have found him accountable if England had appealed it.

No controversy. If England feel aggrieved it should be with themselves.

It was pretty blatant though. Knock to the head or no, he knew what he was doing.

As clear a case of obstructing the field as there can be.

Only England know why they did not appeal.

so, on to Canberra, for both remaining matches, I think.

I am feeling far more confident going into this game than the one in Perth. The first four bowlers picked for the Aus' T20 team - that all missed in Perth - are in for tonight's game.

No need for both Curran and Willey in the same side...pick 1 and then hopefully a Livingstone comes in when fit ...don't need both of those in the side
