Some excellent batting from Haynes and Healy has seen Australia getting right away at 131/9 after 25 overs. England under a lot of pressure now as these two are right on top and look set to take the favourites to a commanding total.

Early bowling - especially from Shrubsole - was very good but although they beat the bat early several times the edges didn't come ; and the runs started to flow as Brunt and Sciver both pitched short too often. Once the two openers got on top England have been powerless to peg them back , no bowler able to put pressure on the run rate. Hasn't helped that both players were then dropped in one over from Cross...can't give these players lives and not expect to pay for it.

The inexperienced Dean suffering now under the onslaught. Up to 149 from 27. England are going to be chasing a monster total...

Finally Ecclestone gets Haynes. 1/160 at 5.5 rpo.

England will do well to keep Aus below the 300

Wicket at last as Ecclestone deceives Haynes in flight and she's gone for a superb 68.

160/1 in the thirtieth...Mooney coming in , a change in the batting order. They have a lot of batting options :)

Healy just brings up her highest scor in ODI's and the highest individual score in World Cup (women's) in history.

She got dropped the very next ball, but both it and the next went for 4 - 145no. atm

Aus have also smashed the record for the highest team score in a final, which was 259. Currently 284, with Healy on 151...

Australia running right away now...Healy totally dominant as she goes to 150 . England fielding has struggled under this battering and not even Ecclestone has been able to put a brake on.

At 297/1 from 44 this is surely going to be something nearer 350 than 300. Great show from the Aussie batters ; but something of a pity that it is basically killing this as a contest before the half way mark. Think Heather Knight might be regretting her choice to send them in ?

Can't deny they are a super team though. Underlining their class at the business end of the contest. :salute

5 overs to go and Aus are already 315. 375 is achievable here.

Things are just not going England's way.

356 ...reckon that is quite unassailable. Terrific batting performance caused England's lately very efficient bowling outfit to lose their focus - Ecclestone taken apart for the second time by the only team that seems able to handle her. Think she will be rather disappointed by that day's work. But Healy in particular was just fantastic today.

If it hadn't been for Shrubsole , who was very good (forgetting the last over) , Garlic's 375 probably would have been reached !

135/4 in the 22nd. England giving the chase plenty of effort and the run rate is good...but they're losing far too many wickets.

Sciver fifty off 53 :clap

But she'd need to make about 200 herself to get these ...

Not a bad effort from England. But that total from Australia is impossible.

The call at the toss might not go down with some of the men's efforts over the years, but on the other hand, with Australia's batting, I guess Knight thought that whatever they set wouldn't be enough, and they'd have to hope for early wickets then pressure from the spinners to keep Australia to a manageable total. There were no early wickets, so the pressure was all on England.

Ah well.

Are Australia the best team in any sport at the moment? Their ranking is unprecedented in the history of cricket, men or women.

Australia doing exactly what I expected. It's the kind of batting line up that anyone would be envious of

How dispiriting it must be to reach the 46th over and to have only taken one wicket!

Sciver doing her best with an excellent knock, but England haven't found the Haynes/Mooney fifties to support her efforts

I was just starting to get a little concerned about the Sciver/Dean partnership - it was beginning to look possible - when Dean got out.

Brilliant effort from Sciver - I was worried about her and Knight - she is forever unflustered.
