Australia do make it. 7 from 7, and you'd be brave to bet against them taking the title.

Bangladesh knocked out, but between today and running a couple of other big teams close, they've shown England can't afford to take them lightly.

England would be daft to take them lightly - especially given their own rather messy early efforts ! But I fancy they have started to click towards the business end of this round robin so expect them to get the job done.

Suspect Australia might have been just a little relaxed for this dead rubber ?

It is indeed hard to see them being beaten after their perfect 7/7 ; but I guess anything can happen in a knock out game...

SA fixed as second ; will be interesting to see who 3 and 4 are.

Rescue job from the middle order takes England to a competitive 234, then they're putting the strangle on Bangladesh, who are going along at under 3 an over. RRR nearly up to 8, 150 needed off 19.

Meanwhile India are powering to a big score v South Africa.

Easy win for England women. Might have had a few wickets down early but they got a very solid score in the end and never looked in trouble defending it. Some impressive bowling , especially from the spinners.

Into the semis at least then. The bowling looks good to me and they are threatening to peak at the right time ; but I do fear their batting is a bit unreliable and to beat either SA or Australia they are going to need two or three bats to have a particularly good day.

But as far as the round robin is concerned : despite that horror start of three losses - job done :thumb

Indeed. Well played to recover.

Now it's just a question of whether they finish third or fourth. A big win has helped the NRR. South Africa will need to get less than 174 if India are to qualify third and shunt England down to 4th.

Looks like India will take this, but South Africa have enough to ensure that India will finish fourth.

South Africa v England semi.

South Africa chase down India's total with the last ball. Wicket in the final over was ruled out for a no-ball; the extra run and lack of a dot ball was the difference between India qualifying and going home.

West Indies qualify 4th thanks to their earlier washout.

Yet another last-over finish from a tournament of them.

England did very well to make it to the KO stage from the horror start they rather inflicted upon themselves. If IIRC they dropped a lot catches on route to losses against SA and WI. They mustn't do that in the SF

Australia have to be massive favourites, but KO's can be unforgiving, so they'll have to fight for it

Solid start for Australia against the West Indies in a 45 over a side game.

Really motoring now. 300+ on for Australia unless the West Indies can get some quick wickets.

Destructive batting from Australia, and West Indies already up against with a rate of 8 needed, 2 wickets down and one player injured.

Australia look set for the final barring something extraordinary.

This is poor from West Indies. It's a world cup semi ffs. Tough target but surely you go down swinging rather than nurdle the odd single and block out the 45.

but, from an Australian fan's viewpoint, that is a relief - it would have been a failure not to at least make the final, after such great form in the round matches.

One more to go.

Utter thrashing, West Indies were never in this game.

But their approach was poor - apart from dropped catches, Stephanie Taylor scored 48 off 75. How can you have an SR of under 70 when chasing 300+? It seemed as soon as Dottin was out, they started batting for their averages.

Australia look unstoppable. Whichever of England or South Africa makes the finals will have an uphill struggle.
