Been an interesting match ; and one surprisingly dominated by the tourists so far. Pitch definitely giving a lot more aid to the bowlers on this fourth day ; and a late burst from the impressive Ebadot Hossain has put NZ in a very precarious position with a day to play...at 147/5 they are just 17 runs ahead and relying on Ross Taylor to somehow marshal the tail if they are to retrieve a draw - or a remarkable win. Bangladesh might find their own nerves the biggest problem in the quest for a historic away win.

Remarkably , I see Ebadot , prior to this match , had taken 11 wickets in ten games at an average of 81 ! Looked a lot better than that this afternoon. Either he's had some kind of "magical perfect day" or he's improving rather suddenly...

NZ in real trouble atm. Ross Taylor is providing resistance, but 5 wickets remain, 100 away from the follow on.

Ebadot Hussain, test average near a hundred, the unlikely destroyed.... 4/39 he has produced. Would be a massive upset if BD can bring this home.

On a seperate note, I must have dreamed that Ross Taylor retired the other day.... could have sworn I seen articles saying he quit at the end of 2021, but hes clearly playing right now

Taylor is retiring at the end of the NZ summer.

Looks like it could be a first home loss for NZ in quite some time, and a famous win for Bangladesh. Going to be a great conclusion.

Didn't get any better for them. NZ 521/6 declared (Latham 252 , Conway 109 ; and Boult Southee and Jamieson had them all out for 126 by the close of day two. Five for Boult gives him his 300 wickets .

Only question left is whether NZ go for a quick kill in the morning by sending them back in or give Ross Taylor a farewell innings and the fans a bit more cricket to watch...
