Wow! That was exciting. What a mirror image of yesterday's match.

Really got to feel for John Cazale Hassan Ali.

Has been steadily looking that way. Though you can't help but feel both losing sides made some critical errors that ended up costing them in the end. Not going hard enough early , so that they ended up with spare unused batting but less runs that they might have had. Using - or not using - some of their bowling resources (England neglecting Moeen ; Pakistan only using Imad Wasim for 3 , meaning the hapless Hassan had to bowl one too many). And some very panicky bowling in the latter stages.

Not that the winners were exactly perfect in all their execution of plans either so perhaps it does come down largely to who bats first. Or the old "matter of inches" : couple of Pakistan throws missed the stumps by - well , inches - that would have ended Aussie hopes ; Bairstow's knee touching the boundary marking milliseconds before he could release the ball for that combination catch...

It's t20 and it's entertaining ; so even if it sometimes seems a bit of a raffle we can enjoy it while we wait for the proper cricket to start again. If it ever stops raining here in Australia...

I suppose NZ should be favourites, though they rarely beat the Aussies and the Baggy Greens get to chase.

I have no idea what kane Williamson is doing here..it's the 8th over, you aren't getting bowled out now, you have hitters down the order....
Start smacking it. This innings is going nowhere quick atm

Kane nervelessly steering NZ to defeat.

Feels like their stodgy start is going to cost NZ.
