Poor captaincy from Balbirnie. Brought off Josh Little too early for spin and then saved him for the death overs....but which time it was too late.

Dont often credit cricket administration for good ideas, but starting the WC with the associates and lowest ranked test teams in the group stage is a really good idea. Great exposure for a couple of teams on the big stage.

I've been touting this for years... so yes, a great idea!

Scotland about to beat Oman (only country in world starting with O) with plenty to spare to top the group. That will put them in with India, NZ and Pakistan. England get Bangla, which is a shame. And probably SL! Group of death.

How can India and Pakistan refuse to arrange series together when they insist on being in the same group at ICC competitions?

Irish batting really fell apart. Bowlers gave it a good try but the trouble with defending a small target like that is you can contain the opposition for a long time but a few sixes can still swing the chase back on very quickly.
Have to say the old "luck of the Irish" wasn't around : two players going off with injuries , including a regular bowler after a handful of deliveries ; and a ball hitting the stumps at 130 k and yet not dislodging the bails : though not taking a review when they had a stone cold lbw inexplicably turned down was their own mistake. But in truth Namibia kept calm and got the chase right : thoroughly deserved the win. Well done them
