perhaps... he did have an excellent IPL on these same grounds just recently, though. I think the WI selectors made a complete @rse of the squad and now they are in fire fighting mode... heads will have to roll after this tournament

England not missing Gentle Ben so much yet. Though they lack his sixth bowler option.

Sounds like a plus for them. Surely he is worth slotting straight into the XI ? I get that t20 isn't his best format (one might arguably say the same of Stokes for England but it doesn't stop media commenting on how they might miss him) but I reckon his overall class - and brain - can only aid a West Indies team which really has been abject so far.

Holder should have been in the squad from the start. I have no idea why he wasn't

Not got a great T20I record. Plus I think he spoke out about his sacking as test captain earlier in the year, may have not endeared himself to the powers that be.

Not a great international record, and he had a poor CPL this season.

But Holder is much better than Oshane Thomas, who should never have been in the squad ahead of Holder.

Holder slots straight in for today's match. Chase comes in for Simmons.

Teams always love players who bowl express pace. Doesnt seem to matter that he sprays the ball all over.

Windies starting off woefully here. Going to have to turn it on quick, or its home time.

Just gets worse for West Indies

Why did Pollard go off? Then Russell run out without facing a ball.

Not over yet, there's batting to come, but West Indies are going to have to pick up fast or they're going home.

Going to do well to get 120. If they bat all 20.

Couple of big overs. Shakib's figures just got wrecked.

It's still unlikely to be a good total but it might now be something to bowl at.

Fifty partnership in five overs has improved things, but shouldn't be good enough.

BD havent looked a great team so far, so 130 might give the bowlers a chance.

And they do with a Pollard maximum.

142 might not seem a lot, but lets be honest....if Pollard is striking at 77 at the death of a T20 game, odds are the pitch is difficult to score on.

This might be one of those scores that is deceptively difficult.

Worth noting the BDs missed a few chances as well, so those Windies bats that launched off really should have got out

Good power play for West Indies. Bangladesh not going anywhere at the moment : 43 off the first eight is leaving a lot to do...

Bit early to call it but I'd rather be in the WI camp right now.
