Cool Hand Kane is ideal in that situation. Less certain if he can ramp up his SR in different circumstances.

So, two dead games.

Typical NZ calm well ordered chase down. No fuss. No drama.

Next game not quite a "dead" one : if Scotland beat Pakistan , NZ will top the group :)

But no , I am not betting on that prospect.

OK, good point. Was taking a Pakistan win for granted there and assumed their NRR was better than it is given they are unbeaten. India are going to end up with the best NRR!

In this format just ruthlessly destroying the little guys isn't enough though. Got to beat a big boy too, just to make it to the KO's.

Any one of the semi finalists could realistically win this WC. I don't think there is a favourite amongst them

Despite another half century from Babar, Scotland weren't doing too badly until Malik brutalised them in the last 2 overs, taking his score from 17 off 10 to 54 off 18

ouch!

Scotland didn't get themselves dragged into a run chase, which is probably very sensible. Batting out the 20 overs against a great team is a creditable effort

Pakistan unbeaten in the tournament..... of course now they have to stay unbeaten for the whole comp. Can't afford a slip up

Disappointing for Scotland though. Of course, they were upbeat going in, but couldn't even beat Namibia.

Only one dead rubber in the group stage, to be played tonight. Something went right.

As Vince came into the squad as a replacement for Roy, presumably he's behind Billings for a spot in the side.

Also available: Topley, WIlley, Curran.

Looks like Bairstow got stuck.

Should be a close one. Maybe decided by countback...

Two quick wickets for England has drawn the game to them. Twelve an over to get. Not impossible, but not likely.

Neesham having a go, though.

Not often Jordan gets shredded.

Any reason why Morgan batted so low or is that his position now?
