He's a dream to watch when unleashing his repertoire of strokes, but his defence is not up to scratch. The latter tends to define test bats. I understand why England picked him, catch him on a good day and he oozes a class few players exhibit; but he needs some solid work on defending his wicket.

Not a lost cause long term. But how many players a like that? Look wonderful apart from an obvious flaw?
