He's been ridiculous this series

he's been very productive thus far. From reports I've read, I'd go as far as to say 'imperious'

Surely Bairstow has to be considered our best ever opener, and one of England's best of all time.

Sure, SRs have gone up over the course of history so it's not always a direct comparison, but Bairstow's SR is above the average for the time he's played, and his average and conversion rate are insane (1 hundred every 5th innings). And a world cup winner to boot.

He lost his way a bit in tests, but in ODIs, magnificent.

Yet he didn't come into the team to solve a problem. Hales and Roy were a successful partnership. Just that when Bairstow got a chance, he took it and became undroppable. It's hard to understand how someone who has underwhelmed so often in Tests could become so rampant in ODIs. Mostly, great players prevail whether Tests or ODIs.

Unbelievable really - Eng have won 9 or 10 out of the 12 tosses! I saw somewhere that Kohli has lost more than 90% of tosses in the last 3 or 4 years, which is just bizarre.

India getting on with it this time.

Wood in for Tom. Surprisingly Topley stays in. Malan continues to keep out Posh Sam.

India on for 400 here if they keep wickets in hand.

Going to be massive unless England can get players out quick.

Im blaming Nasser Hussain, the Indians probably read his article yesterday saying they were out of date and old fashioned in their approach, and are now showing they can equally fire off like a rocket when they see fit.

Of course, England have a battery of firepower, so can never be written off..... if you could somehow combine India's attack with England's batting, what a bloody team you would have. England though really are all about batting, their bowlers too regularly give the batters everything to do.

And Hardik, that closes and end down. Looking more like 370.

Is Mo not going to bowl his ten? He's the most economical bowler (and got out Kohli). Putting on spin is a real test of nerve for England captains.

Fifty partnership for LL and Malan in seven overs.

A lot to ask of the tail though when one of these gets out.

Woakes seems to have been quietly shuffled out the side. He's been useful with the bat at times in this sort of situation. And a key bowler in the WC.

Surprising that they've kept up with the RR for so long, though losing wickets. Not a bad attempt.
