Game is poised for Sri Lanka to at least scrub the deficit, if they get through the morning session unscathed.

Thinking ahead for the India series, it would be nice for Sri Lanka to make England bat again so Sibley and Crawley can get some time in the middle.

England making no progress. Looks like there could be a tricky chase.

Hard work for the bowlers today. Pitch giving some turn but nothing untoward yet. Some disciplined batting (and some lucky "near things") have Sri Lanka poised to get their noses in front.

Question is how far they can get in front . This pair really is the key...but England must be getting a bit weary after 110 overs...

This is when they miss Ben Stokes.

A couple of quick wickets for Leach and Bess. The latter has eight in the match so far. Well done to him.

Needed those wickets !

Bess hasn't always been totally in control of his length , though he has bowled very much better today than yesterday , and threatened even in the periods where he wasn't taking wickets. But he has certainly got the results : 8 of the 17 wickets England have taken so far.

I usually prefer results over style points :)

Wicket for Leach. SL coach angry at the umpire's decision.

Sibley got his opportunity for time AP, but lasted less than the first over.

Was always questions as to his ability against soon, he's not answering them this test

Pitch has plenty. Turning sharply now for the Lankans. England just didn't bowl well

Crawley goes. Totally outclassed for a few overs then, no answer to the spin. Desperate shot
