Should be a good series between two strong sides. Australia with the home advantage, but reduced crowds and the large Indian ex-pat community will mean even if there are no travelling fans, I expect the away support to be significant. India in theory should have the edge in the ODIs; T20s could go either way, but recent practice in the IPL might also help India.

I've managed to score myself a ticket for the first T20 at Canberra, hoping for a good game. For COVID-safety, it's a 1/3 capacity (5000 tickets only), seating at least 2 metres away from anyone not in your friend/family bubble, and limited movement during the game for snacks/beers etc. I'll take a mask too...

I'd love to go to a game of cricket, although not in CLS at this point in time...... it was pigging freezing today.... bitterly cold

maybe a nice game of indoor cricket with a roaring fire close by :halo:

Someone in Nottingham charged with having a regulation flouting hot tub party. Must be insane. It's freezing.

Presume Australia are favourites, being at home.

I suppose these huge Aussie grounds will be useful for accommodating some attendance.

Good start by Shami and Bumrah. Not many opportunities given to score. 6 from 2 overs.

Another good over by Shami. 5 dot balls due to good off stump line to Finch and a single off the last ball.

Aus 8/0 from 3 overs.

First boundary for Finch. Played that on the up, was in air but far enough from mid off fielder to race to the boundary.

Aus 27/0 from 5.

Guess Aussies will be glad with this start considering the quality of opening bowlers like Bumrah and Shami. The openers have started well.

Good first over by Saini apart from the first ball which was hit by finch for four. Disciplined line and length that.

Aus 37/0 from 7.

Team India would not want any of these two batsmen to play a big innings. More so considering Alex is batting at 8. Pat and Starc can also score few. Very long batting line-up this.

Four. Second time when Saini has been hit for four of his first ball. That was the most convincing four hit by Finch today. Pierced the gap and that went fast through the gap besides the cover fielder. Well played.

Shami bought back into attack in search for the breakthrough.

Chahal bowling 12th over. That's very early for spinner considering the two new balls. But it's unavoidable as India is playing two spinners.

Just 2 from this. Aus 56/0 in 12 overs. Although India would have liked to have a wicket, atleast the bowlers haven't allowed this prolific opening players with loads of runs in the power play overs.

Australia have played better thus far. Indian bowlers unable to strike.

Warner 33 (36) Finch 34 (48).

Both batsmen tried to attack Yuz. Warner reading Yuz variation well and managed to hit a 4.

5th bowler Jaddu comes into attack to bowl 15th over.

Sixer

Finch confidently hits the full one from Yuz into the stands at long on. The first time he has played a confident middle of bat shot against Yuz today.

Aus 87/0 from 18.

This is 4th successive time Indian bowlers have not taken wicket in first powerplay.
