I underestimated Mahmood ! Thought he was supposed to be a total rabbit but he's helped Curran add a useful 30 or so...

Have to say the Irish fielding has been a bit off at the tail end of this innings. Couple of run outs missed , few misfields.

328 . Should be plenty for England , this.

Not even certain Ireland will go for these.

I'm just a bit surprised that England posted over 300

there was a time when 300+ was a good score. These days, teams can splutter and bumble their way to a score like that

I'll bet they don't manage it, though

Hundred partnership.

No they won't get there.

But I'm always wrong.

112 off 15. England still in it. PLenty of spin overs left and I guess a few games have played on this strip now.

Remember when no one ever used to win chasing under lights?

Ten an over. It's all going wrong for Ireland. Both set batters out.

Collingwood in.

Well done the Irish. Knew they'd do it.

Great finish.

Well that happened.

Well done Ireland, poor show England, or a bit of both? Certainly seems as though Kevin O'Brien should by a lottery ticket with the numbers 329 in it.

James Vince, 16 runs and 2 dropped catches, on what appears to have been a pretty flat deck. His overall England ODI record https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engin ... ew=innings - average 23, an SR of 88, 1 fifty in 14 innings. 'Scores 15-30 runs then gets out' has been bandied around, but it's true. England lost all but one of the games he played in the World Cup, and won all the rest. Coincidence?

He must have compromising photographs of higher-ups in the ECB. How else to explain his continued presence in the side?

England have a lot of middle order candidates, but not as many top order. So if Root isn't there, Vince feels like an alternative. Maybe England should revisit Alex Hales?

Notable that those games Vince played are not against the best sides. He's mostly been shuffled in for minor series.
