123.
Not nearly enough , you'd think.

This England batting seems to have really fallen apart lately. I come back to my earlier suggestion : it is completely daft to waste Tammy Beaumont at number seven.

Good luck to the bowlers...

Bowlers have started well. Shrubsole and Brunt both right on the money.

Tight first three overs ...and the early wicket of Lee. Might not be such a modest target for SA as it looked. And now a good first over from Sciver - very nearly another wicket !

10/1 after four overs...

Not that big a surprise. England batting - Sciver excepted - was awful. Bowlers tried manfully (Thought Ecclestone especially good) and were not helped by some sloppy outfielding ; but really I thought SA were always going to get there despite the commentators having their doubts. Only time I fancied England had a chance was when the late wickets saw them need 33 off three...but a lot of singles and a couple of big sixes soon took care of that...

Have strong doubts as to England even making the semis now : have to improve a lot to beat West Indies - and at the moment their game plan (and bizarre batting order !) seem all awry.

Still a long way to go I guess . This women's WC certainly isn't like the old ones where the top two or three were pre-ordained :thumb

Matches continue to be interesting...

Sri Lanka made 123 and had Australia reeling at 10/3 ! Lanning and Haynes have recovered things though : 52/3 now after 11
Still work to do but you'd fancy Australia will get home from here. But they really aren't playing like hot tournament favourites at the moment.
Still it's how you play at the business end that counts , no ?

Australia recovering, should get there, but it looks like being a tight finish...

Not so tight now after Haynes hits two big sixes...

Might have been hairy if Lanning had been given when she edged behind earlier ?

Nearly there now...just need 18 off the last three.

Sri Lanka haven't helped themselves , dropping both these two now in the outfield.

But hang on ...Haynes is stumped ! A fine - if lucky in bits - sixty :clap

Should still be easy enough but a new bat in , so some pressure...

And now the keeper drops Lanning !

Probably Sri Lanka's last chance gone there...

Good game though.

Another wicket...

But Australia need only four from the last over.I'd have to say Sri Lankan fielding errors have cost them this game...

Home team win with three balls to spare :thumb

But they look distinctly vulnerable on this form.
