Taylor hits a century as New Zealand chase down a target of 348 in the first ODI.

I read that Iyer's 100 was the first scored by an Indian in the position of 4 or below for the first time since 2015 away.... not sure if thats true, it sounds almost implausible, but incredible if so.

Great to see NZ win, and without KW and Boult too.

Last time away from home was Manish Pandey in Sydney, 23/1/16. India chased 330 to win.

Looks like some knock from CDG. Upper order left him plenty to do.

Might have fancied NZ for the Tests if Australia hadn't beaten them so convincingly. Predicting an India win now.

Cricinfo's predicted teams. I guess Waggy is unfit.

1 Tom Latham, 2 Tom Blundell, 3 Kane Williamson (capt), 4 Ross Taylor, 5 Henry Nicholls, 6 BJ Watling (wk), 7 Colin de Grandhomme, 8 Daryl Mitchell/Ajaz Patel, 9 Tim Southee, 10 Kyle Jamieson, 11 Trent Boult

1 Mayank Agarwal, 2 Prithvi Shaw, 3 Cheteshwar Pujara, 4 Virat Kohli (capt), 5 Ajinkya Rahane, 6 Hanuma Vihari, 7 Rishabh Pant (wk), 8 R Ashwin, 9 Ishant Sharma/ Umesh Yadav, 10 Mohammed Shami, 11 Jasprit Bumrah

Still no place for Shubman Gill - Shaw appears to be a Kohli favourite whereas Gill seems to fall into the Pujara space of being a reluctant pick when you can't ignore his weight of runs anymore

Pant keeps out Saha ... I hope Pant's been working hard on his keeping

NZ win the toss - apparently will be overcast all day and cricinfo reckon the toss gives NZ a clear advantage here - sounds like Ind will have to bat sensibly

Good effort from cricinfo. Mitchell and Umesh omitted from the either/or pairings.

NZ put India in.
