Getting a bit ludicrous now. 332 partnership is Australia's 2nd best ever for the second wicket. Long way to 451 which is the best (Bradman and Ponsford, naturally)

Records tumbling. Highest 2nd wicket partnership in Australia, highest partnership in tests between Australia and Pakistan.

Finally over, as the second new ball actually does something.

Of course, with 350 on the board, who don't you want to see? Steve Smith...

Shaheen did well to come out of that with 3-88.

Warner 335 not out when the declaration came...why didn't Paine allow him to go for Lara's record?

Because the team is so much more important than personal records for the Australian team.

With rain forecast for the next 3 days then the declaration makes sense. I was reading on cricinfo that a few of the commentators thought i was harsh on Warner.

I really don't understand this way of thinking when we look at a team sport.

It's the second highest score for an Aussie.

One more than Bradman's 334 that Mark Taylor equalled then declared rather than go one past. Clarke was not out on 329. This threatened to become a thing for Aussies some time ago. Maybe not now as Wee Davie went one past and then bailed.

Well done to him. That's some score.

Would have taken 0 today and had those 335 runs spread out during the ashes...........

But it is some knock from him.

In Australian conditions he is up their with Australias best.

But in my time of following the game he is not even in the top 10 Australian bats. Huge hole in his CV when he plays in foreign conditions.

Yep. Australia wanted to bowl under lights today to help ensure they get a result with rain on the way for the next two days, a decision that you have to say was vindicated.

For once, we'll be seeing a follow-on enforced.

Hopefully Aus can stick to the next line, too, Arthur.
