So the TV replays do work?

It was completely blatant. His entire foot was over the line, let alone on it. I think the Cummins decision was wrong, but you can at least see why that was a marginal call.

Utter domination from Australia. I don't know why their batsmen seem to find it so easy at home compared to touring sides, but they do.

I to agree the Cummins decision was wrong. Even my one eyed Aussie supporters think it was a no ball.

I think the bounce and speed of Australia makes it harder for touring teams. Its no where near as bouncy as it used to be, but edges carry and soft hands are not as effective. Australian bats enjoy these conditions as there is so little side movement.

This Pakistan team though seem incredibly poor. The bowling line up is inexperienced and their bowler with the most games seems pretty useless in Australia. Shahs average in Aus now is 90 :panic

Imagine how the Pakistan bowlers feel having conceded 300 runs for 1 and the next wicket, Smith comes out to bat. He will probably make 0 now

Big hundred. Just as well given the batting after him.

Six wickets for Mitch2, after not being fancied much in England.

It is good to see him kick on after a positive ashes.

Still going to be much tougher tests than this Pakistan team, but happy to see him get his 1st test 100 :salute

Still not sure on him at 1, it feels like he has been put their too soon. Australias lack of batting depth have forced the issue though, so their he plays. And so far so good. Wade at 5 though gives me even more concerns and Head at 6..... Its really not an abundance of batting riches. Wades shield form has been impressive again, so maybe im being to harsh on him.

But Pakistan fought well after this, and took it to within 5 runs of making Australia bay again. Great century from Babar and almost one from Rizwan.

A stubborn 45-odd from Yassir as well.

Rizwan's 95/6 is the highest score at the 'Gabba from a foreign 'keeper. Well done him.

Enough fight shown by some Pakistan batsman to suggest they might be able to make the 2nd test more competitive.

Got to get so much more from their bowlers though.

Australia will be happy. The ACB less so. The crowds looked scarce for most of the test and finishing a day early will not help the coffers.

Warner and Marnus in the runs again.

Will Pakistan manage to get anything out of the pink the ball underlights?

Certainly a struggle for the Australian bats in the past.
