No reviews left.... and yes, it would have been out had Anderson not wasted the last one with the most mind boggling of reviews.

Nasser hussain saying not getting out Jayant might work in Englands favour, because its Kohli they need out......

Not sure how many beers Nasser must have had over the day

Did you see it Adi? Clearly no bat involved with the ball, none of the England fielders appealed, yet Anderson was adamant there was an edge. Just a waste of a review.

no team has ever lost at this ground after batting first and scoring 400. I think that is likely to change over the next day or two

Nice to see a few handshakes from the England boys for Kohli at the end.

2nd day India have won. Im guessing batting last is worth possibly 75 ish runs worse off. The first 30 minutes tomorrow decides this test match for me

Jayant can bat on these wickets. Surprising comment given he has batted 86 balls and given partnership of 86 runs.

Bhuvi is also someone who does not attacks. He wont throw his wicket usually. Bowlers will jave to get him out.

51 runs is good lead for this wicket especially after fielding for 130 overs in this heat. Well batted boys. Nice stamina.:salute

Wonderful innings from Kohli following on from the excellent Vijay but to paraphrase Bill Clinton 'it's the bowling stupid'. Simply we don't have the bowling for these conditions good enough to trouble batsmen of Kohli's class whereas they do have the bowlers to make life tough for our batsmen in these conditions. They can permutate the squad any way they choose and the standard will fall short of what's required.
This is no blame on the bowlers they are doing as well as can be expected although I've noticed both here and in BD their quick bowlers generally get more lateral movement in these conditions than ours. Mind you lateral movement is in short supply on this pitch for all pace bowlers.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

England wont be scoring 250+ imo at Mumbai in second innings versus 3 spinners on day 4 and 5. Even then i would notlike to chase 200 here.

With 51 runs lead we have to bowl England below 200.

Better not to get chasing target of more than 175 .

I hope we can set you 140 plus

Just so it's a good game

But as you say I don't see us getting much or at all over 200

England need to get these last three wickets as soon as possible. Any lead above 100 would be terminal.
