England should win. But looks quite a chastening encounter.

very odd bowling choices for bangladesh it is like they want England to win the game and Moeen Ali/Buttler scoring runs.
no idea why Souma Sarker, Nasir Hossain, Sunzamul Islam, Shuvagata Hom bowling thought some of these are batsman.

Anyway I see the game is 14 affair, although looks like England played 11.

interesting pitch think most expected a slow deck but looking at the strike rates looks like the game was a good batting deck which is quite surprising in bangladesh with the batting generally being turgid and tough in odi.

Didn't think england will get 300 in any of the odi games in bangladesh and never expected bangladesh warm up side to score 300+ either.

Nasir and Hom are all-rounders. Soumya used to be one. No idea about the other guy.

Not sure I will class Soumya Sarker a bowler and nasir Hossain is more of a part time bowling option same with Hom.
Hom bowled less than Hossain in international cricket.
only really Nasir hossain is a bowler here, the rest are not really great bowling option and the warm up team didn't really have to use all 4 bowlers especially at a time when england were struggling.
although looking at the team Bangladesh didn't actually select a front line spinner with 4 front line seam option with 2 being picked by walsh from nets on future potential.
so maybe that why Hom, Hossain and Islam were bowling.

Reading newman it seems like the pitch played like you would expect in Bangladesh so well done to the batsman and also to the Bangladeshi batsman for getting 300 plus as well.

Rashid is a better 4-day batsman than Willey, not a better limited overs batsman though. Willey has domestic hundreds in both List A and T20s, neither of which Rash has, plus superior averages and strike-rates.

Sounds like a mature partnership between Buttler and Ali. Several starts from the top order without a fifty.

Should be a close series. On paper England are strong but you never know on the sub-continent. Need the spinners to be less expensive than they were today.

I wouldn't say Willey was a better ODI batter than Rashid, his record certainly doesn't show that as being the case.

I presume we're viewing BD as favourites? They beat England last time out, and they are at home. England travel poorly to Asia in ODIs. Though won in UAE. Shame there's no Mustafizur. I can't see Rubel Hossain in the squad. I looked him up to see if he'd retired, and he's only 26! Ancient for a BD player. Maybe injured.

How about giving Billings a series at five?

Billings seems to be the nearly man everytime...always in the squad but never deemed good enough to actually play, which is a shame for the lad..

I'd have England as slight favourites although Bangladesh have won their last 6 home series.
