Roy misses out, but a fantastic innings from a lad that many wanted to drop not too long ago.

Good win and excellent knock from Roy - shame it's all a bit under the radar at the moment.

Just watching the highlights on Channel 5

Oh look, empty seats at The Oval! Don't give Surrey an international match ever again because they can't sell out......................

I thought it was a sell out and that was just people that gave up because of the weather?

Can't be having that as an excuse. Headingley and Chester-Le-Street got pillared to post because of poor ticket sales for Sri Lanka so the same scrutiny should be given to others, especially London clubs :halo:

It is a refreshing change to see an English batsman score 150+ in ODI. Couple of months back i thought Alex and Jason were not upto the mark given their low averages and low scores and thought they needed to be dropped so that they could work on batting and come back stronger. But credit to English selctors for persisting with them and now we see the benefit. Bell, KP, Cook did score tons but none of them ever went pass 150 iirc. Jason with very little experience and at young age has outperformed the past batters best innings. His average too is now up to 40 with a good SR.

5th and final ODI gets underway shortly.

Two changes fro England - Vince for the unfit Hales, and Jordan for Moeen Ali.

SL won the toss and elected to field.

50 for Vince in his first ODI.

This format is much more in his comfort zone.
