The greats have all gone. The media have been trying to create a new generation of greats in Smith, Root, Kohli, Williamson. Which has the feeling just a bit of the work of publicity departments. How inconvenient then Voges and Khawaja, even ABDV and Amla, who seemed to be redacted from these conversations.

Two hundred for Voges.

No point declaring I suppose.

Can't see why. Still almost 3 days to play, just bat out with the tail and see where you end up.

Voges will feel compelled to hit out with the number eleven, and he'll screw up his average.

Not sure his average is at the top of his mind. Making 251 to be the highest scoring Aus batsman in NZ might be in reach if Lyon hangs around.

McCullum will be looking around the field for Neil Wagner.

Aus have a genuine number 11 for the first time in a while. Can't see this lasting long.

Only a slip for him though. No short leg. Might have to hit the stumps.

Bummer. Voges out - after 18-odd hours of batting and close on 600 runs, he has finally been dismissed.

That'll screw his average...

AV averages 97.5. Goes to show how incredible The Don's average is. All those runs all season from Voges, and he still drops below Bradman. Great effort after his early luck.

Two-fers for all the bowlers. Tough for them.
