ah, that no ball from Sids upset a great run: his first ball went for a four, then he took 2 wickets for zero runs off the next 26 deliveries.

Looked at Cricinfo for the first few overs. One down, good.

Had a shower and pottered around, had another look at CI. Two down, even better. Need to get Williamson though.

Did a couple of things on the way to work and then had a look at the 'pooter. Five down - including Williamson and McCullum. Wow!

All caught behind the stumps, I am guessing by Smith and Warner's names? Is it a matter of line-and-length and let the batsmen make the mistake?

You can give the Aussies some credit for bowling line and length and then throwing in a wider ball. But it's hardly The Sting. NZ haven't been disciplined. There's been a bit of bounce at times, but the surface is slow. Might be time for Hazlewood to rest, but Siddle's bowling at Paul Collingwood pace and should be able to bowl for the rest of the morning.

These two batters have dug in well so far. BJ's off the mark...

Bird looks stiff coming back from a three over opening spell.

If Pattinson's not fit, Sayers is next in line after Bird. I think that'd be a debut.

Brilliant morning for the Aussies, with Siddle and Hazelewood ready to resume after lunch. Only the release of pressure from the support seamers to take the edge off the session. NZ will be desperate after that start.
